There are 3 kinds of people in the world those that can count and those that can’t

summertime fun

Well its been pretty busy lately, and I have had my hands full getting ready for the summer season. I’m trying to get some more recording done, before its time to hit the streets. You know,” fun fun fun til daddy takes the t-bird away” Then there are all the summer bookings and festival applications that are due right now, and I’m behind as usual.

Anyway I thought what the heck, you might be planning your summer too. Nothing gets you through winter better than making summer plans while being holed up in your house while the winter winds howl. So here are some of my favorite summer events I always have a great time at.

Cathedral Village Arts Festival  Street Fair
Regina SK, May 26, 2018
12 blocks of artisans showing off their work. What amazes me is the skill, originality of products, and the lack of duplication.

Moose Jaw Sidewalk Days Festival
Moose Jaw SK, July 5, 6, 7, 2018

The sidewalk sale to end all sidewalk sales, 3 days of excitement, with an air show thrown in. Something for everyone of all ages. Bouncy castles, wrestling, music stages, rides, tours through underground tunnels , speakeasy,s  food, and an old time band. And when your done you can hit the spa or the casino. Doesn’t get any better than this.

Edmonton Fringe Festival August                                           Edmonton AB 16-26, 2018

So much fun, so much creativity. The artist who make this happen are absolutely incredible. I mean I do a lot of crazy shit, have a lot of off beat ideas, but these guys are humbling. If you love originality, artistic fearlessness, and live theatre in a well managed event, then this is the one for you. On the street, in the venues you’ll be blown away.

That’s it for now, I’ll mention a few more when they come to me, but these events are always first class.

the project

I’m always meeting extremely talented people while playing on the street. Rappers, opera singers, sitar players, you name it, and the one thing they all have in common is talent and passion. You’ll hear more about them as time goes on in this blog, but I wanted to talk about a side band I have started up called “the project”. This band is basically a revolving door of talented people I’ve met on the street that I wanted to collaborate with regardless of the musical genres they ‘re into. That being said I just posted a track called “Open Sea”. It features an awesome musician TomaHawk who provides drums and vocals. Give it a listen, I bet you love the energy he brings as much as I do.

get this show on the road

Well, I guess its time to get this show on the road. Its been a long haul, and I put off getting too involved with this internet thing as long as I could. Apparently this world wide interweb thing is not a fad and is here to stay. So I decided to stake out a metaphorical piece of sidewalk by the information highway.

Ill do the same things I do in the real world, play a little music, have a little fun, and offer the world my unsolicited opinions regardless of how they’re received.  Like has anyone noticed the emperor is not wearing clothes?

We’ll get to that later. This is the first post on this blog so I would like to thank the man who designed it. Win at  . He does very good work. This is the second site he built for me, I’d recommend him to anyone.
